On the bench
On our bench this is the creature that ends conversations. The sound module is the part people underestimate — the legs are convincing on their own, but the noise is what makes someone step back from a kitchen floor.
This is the bot kids turn on and then stand back from. The legs move with real weight, the light in the abdomen carries across a room, and the sound module is the part that makes a prank land. Rechargeable cells and a cable are in the box, so the fun does not wait on a trip to the shops.
The remote control design is deliberately crude, two levers and a channel switch, which is why friends pick it up and drive without asking anything. The leg movement is what sells it; the abdomen is lit rather than glow-in-the-dark, and the charge is not endless.
It sits on the robotic creatures shelf, in among the rest of the HEX BOTS robotic toys, so it went through the same yardstick as every other bot there before it got a card here.

Who plays with it, and what stands next to it
This is the bot customers come back for. Play tends to go one way — somebody drives, everybody else leaves the kitchen — and the fun holds up because the sound and the crawling gait arrive together. The size makes it a gift people remember, the pack mode is worth experimenting with, and turning it on the spot in a doorway stays cool for a long time.
Nothing on this shelf climbs: for walls you want the gecko crawlers, which trade size for suction. The tarantula is a floor animal, and the largest of the robotic creatures we keep.
Getting it, swapping it
Delivery, tracking, swaps and warranty claims are handled on the order page of the store you bought from — they hold the order, we hold the bench. Read how we split that in Doorstep & swaps.
The instructions in the box run to one sheet; our charge and care guide covers cells, run life and storage between runs. Surfaces and charging questions come to bench@hexbots.pages.dev, Mon to Fri, 9am to 6pm ET.
